What happens to the document

An assistant that reads the file has to receive the file.

BigLawPDF used to run entirely in the browser and we said so loudly. It no longer does, and pretending otherwise would be the worst thing we could do to a firm making a confidentiality call. The document is sent to our agent so it can read the text, find the clause you named, and act on it. It is stored for 24 hours, scoped to your session alone, and then deleted.

That is a real change in posture and it is yours to weigh, not ours to smooth over. Where the work cannot leave the device at all, use honestpdf.org, which still does everything in the browser tab and never uploads a byte.
